In
this case , Cotton observes that removing teeth and other areas where focal
sepsis could occur cured depression and psychosis. The man he operated on showed signs of recovery. Cases such as these were
perhaps the reason the physician chose to continue with his absurd treatment
options. |

In this case despite
removing teeth and tonsils , the patient was not cured of his mental illness.
Yet instead of admitting failure , Cotton continues like this for many more years which forces us to question his motives.
